Waltan Australia is a South Australian privately owned Company.  In 1989, the founder Wally McDonald saw the need for the Assembly Industry in Adelaide to better understand and appreciate the advantages of "Torque Control" in the assembly process.

Wally has a great deal of expertise in the torque industry having been National Marketing Manager for a large Torque Tool manufacturer for 7 years and by applying practical solutions to assembly problems on the factory floor for the past 20 years.

In 1991 Waltan Australia was appointed the South Australian Master Distributor for Atlas Copco Tools and was quick to appreciate the fast run down and torque accuracy of the Atlas Copco Assembly Tool range, as well as the necessity to provide good technical support, service and spare parts backup.

Waltan Australia's business core has focused on the selling and servicing of Air and Industrial Tools in the South Australian market place, but has recently expanded into Projects and Automation through the appointment of an experienced mechanical engineer.

The company can now provide Consumable Consignment Systems, Tool Service and Calibration Programs, Special Socket Manufacture and Turn Key Assembly solutions.

Waltan keeps the majority of major tools in stock and has NATA traceability on all calibration equipment used in their fully equipped workshop.
